The literal meaning of Nahjul-Balaghah is “Path of Eloquence” or “Peak of Eloquence”. This book is attributed to our first Imam Hazrat Ali. Many current scholars have translated it into their own language to take advantage of it.
Complete religion is interpreted practically in Nahj Al-Balagha. In the same way that the Imam’s position is unparalleled among all creations, so too is the Imam’s speech. Like a precious gem, Imam’s speech has profound requirements. All the things that modern science is finding were described by the Imam in Nahj-ul-Balagha a few thousand years ago. Humanity can find everlasting guidance in Nahjul Balagha. This decree clearly describes the status and personality of Imam Ali (peace be upon him): “I am the city of knowledge and Ali is its door, so whoever wants to gain knowledge should enter by this door.” This decree was issued by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). The book of introduction and recognition of Hazrat Ali, Nahj-ul-Balagha, is like medicine for the individual and collective pain of man. Man is recognized by his words.
