A free trial Shia Quran class covers 3 components in 45 minutes: a level assessment (recitation or beginner test), an introduction to the available curriculum and course options, and a personalized learning recommendation from the teacher. Nothing is sold in the trial — the teacher’s role is to assess and advise, not to enroll.

1. Level assessment (first 15 minutes). The teacher begins with a recitation check — if the student already recites, they read a short passage while the teacher notes makhraj accuracy, tajweed application, and fluency. If the student is a complete beginner, the teacher introduces the first 5 Arabic letters and checks the student’s response to live instruction. Reverts receive a short Islamic knowledge check alongside the recitation assessment. The assessment is conversational, not a test — the student should feel comfortable, not evaluated.

2. Curriculum introduction (next 20 minutes). Based on the assessment, the teacher introduces the 2 or 3 courses most relevant to the student’s level and goal. For a child at beginner level, this is Basic Qaida progressing to Yassarnal Quran. For an adult who already recites, this is Tajweed or Quran with Translation. For a revert, this is the 3-month onboarding pathway leading into the Fiqh and Quran course. The teacher explains what each course covers, how long it takes, and what the student will be able to do at each milestone.

3. Personalized learning plan (final 10 minutes). The teacher writes and shares a personalized plan — the recommended course, the starting stage, the suggested session frequency, and the first 4-week milestone. The plan is sent to the student’s registered email within 30 minutes of the session ending. No payment is requested at this stage; the plan is provided regardless of whether the student enrolls.

2. Confirm via email. A confirmation email arrives within 2 hours of submission. The email includes the session date and time in your local time zone, the teacher’s name and credentials, and the Zoom or Skype link. If the first available slot does not suit, you can reply to the email to request an alternative time.

Can I book a trial for my child without attending myself?

Parents are encouraged to attend the child’s free trial — particularly for children ages 5 to 9, where the parent’s presence helps the child settle. Parents who cannot attend can share the teacher’s written plan after the session. For children ages 10 and above, the trial can run without a parent present if the family prefers.

What if I want to change the course after the trial?

The course can be changed after the trial based on the teacher’s recommendation or the student’s preference. No enrollment is locked until the student confirms the course recommendation in writing. Changes before the first paid session carry no fee.

How quickly can I get a trial appointment?

Most trial bookings are confirmed within 2 hours and scheduled within 48 hours of the form submission, subject to the student’s preferred time zone and time window. Revert applicants and female students requesting a female teacher receive scheduling priority and are typically placed within 24 hours.
